The Avon Angling Club is a friendly fishing club whose home river is the ‘Avon Water’ which is know locally as the River Avon.
The club has an open membership policy and aims to provide quality, affordable fishing for both the local and visiting angler.
The Club has been in existence for over 40 years and provides over 24 miles of river to fish for both migratory and non-migratory fish. The Club is keen to engage with both new and existing members throughout the year and offers information and casting tuition to help new comers grasp the fundamental elements of the sport.
The Club also operates a hatchery which is used all year round. The hatchery is used to rear trout from eggs to fry (small fish) over the winter time. Some of these fish are released in to surrounding burns whilst some are held back to grow on. Anyone who is interested in seeing inside the hatchery is more than welcome to come along on any Saturday morning to visit.
