Inver
The Inver in west Sutherland is some six miles long (divided into Upper, Middle and Lower beats) and flows out of the sizeable Loch Assynt.
Below the loch is Loch Garbhe Uidhe and a short distance downstream Loch An Iasgaich, both of these lochans being incorporated into the Upper beat.
The exit at Loch Assynt is dammed in order to control the flow of water into the river.
Fishing is fly only. The main fishing months are July to October.
