The St. Mungo Parish fishing on the lower part of the river runs through delightful mixed woodland.

This single bank fishery is approximately 2 miles long and perfect for fly fishing with lots of fast flowing runs gushing through scattered rocks. As a result the beat is fly only. The wading can be a bit difficult at times, particularly at night, so care should be taken by all anglers unless they want to take an unforeseen swim! As on all rivers it would be prudent to wear some sort of lifevest when deep wading. The owners accept no liability if anglers fail to follow this advice when wading.

The rewards will however be good for those that do venture into pools with apt names like the Dungeon as this water can at times hold a tremendous head of both salmon and sea trout and, generally, is only lightly fished.
