Angling Scotland welcomes the news that our fishing community across Scotland will benefit from the Scottish Government’s revised guidance for exercise as we enter Phase 1 in the easing of lockdown restrictions.
Ahead of our return, we have issued a revised version of our guidance developed in partnership with Sport Scotland and the Scottish Government, and key industry partners to support our clubs, fisheries and members in preparing our return to the sport. We are pleased to confirm that the return of fishing can now take place from Friday 29 May.
We know that the confirmation today will be well received by all of our members and will have a positive impact on the physical and mental health of fishermen across Scotland in the days and weeks ahead.
We hope everyone enjoys returning to their local fishing spots and would encourage all fishermen to familiarise themselves with our updated guidance to ensure we can all return to fishing again safely.
