Angling Scotland is asking anglers across the country to help shape the future of our sport.

We have launched a national survey for anglers in Scotland so we can better understand the issues that matter most to those who spend time on our rivers, lochs, canals and coastlines.

This survey will help guide the work Angling Scotland does in the coming months and years — from protecting fish stocks and improving access, to tackling predation and representing anglers at government level.

The stronger the response, the stronger the voice of Scottish anglers.

Why This Survey Matters

Angling Scotland represents anglers at a national level, but the most important question is simple:

What do anglers in Scotland want us to focus on?

Through this survey we want to hear directly from you about:

  • The biggest challenges facing angling today

  • What you believe Angling Scotland should prioritise

  • Issues affecting fish stocks and the environment

  • Access to waters and participation in the sport

  • How we can better represent anglers nationally

Your feedback will help shape our strategy and ensure we are working on the issues that matter most to the angling community.

The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and will help ensure anglers across Scotland have their voices heard.

Help Us Reach More Anglers

Please share the survey with:

  • Fishing clubs

  • Individual anglers

  • Tackle shops

  • Fisheries and ghillies

  • Angling groups and online communities

The more anglers who take part, the stronger the insight we gain and the better we can represent the sport across Scotland.

Together we can help shape the future of angling in Scotland.
